All begins with the mind....

I'm now on the bus home.
Just had a hair cut. Much shorter now.

Behind me sits an old uncle. He started coughing.
Very bad cough, those with phlem those kinda.
And he has alooooot of phlem. How I know? I can hear em!!
Can't you agree more alot of things begin with our mind?
Just by hearing his phlemy cough I could picture this ( try imagining
with me)

thick yellow mucus-ish, maybe with a tint of green sticky-yummys, plus
a nice topping of blood.
And I even had images of his coughing so bad and he couldn't control
and the thick mayhem might fly and hit bulleye on my neck. Or worst
into my mouth. Yikes!!!

Digusting stuff aside...
Our mind is really interesting.
How our guitar/instrument/singing sounds like not necessary comes
directly from our instrument.
But infact it comes from our mind. If I wanna sound like jaco, I will
have to immerse myself to exposing to his bass tone, phrasing, sound
and everything else for as long as it takes for my mind to be changed.
I mean also needa spend hours practicing la.
Only by renewing of our minds then there wil be a change. Be it in
actions, sounds blah blah.

Feb is here!!!! 1/12 of the year is gone!!!! Time is ticking.
2010 is gonna be an exciting year!

2010 - a new beginning

2009 was great! quite a productive year i would say...

2010 will gonna be a brand new year for me..

my contract with my company is over, there's a few path which i can take...

1. join my friends company and start a new media department which provide training
2. do what im doing previously
3. wait for my company's reply

meanwhile im catching up some sleep (imagine waking up 530am every morning for the past 2 years...)
have been meeting up with my friend to discuss some plans and proposals for some projects..
at the same time im taking freelance editing projects which i can do during these few weeks before any project is confirmed.

2009 was relatively easy-going, comfortable, 2010 gonna be of a certain degree of uncertainty, BUT i know things will work out, it has happen before, and i know it will work out again.

whatever path it is, it's a blessed path... it will be...

woke up at 2am to do final edit for a freelance project.
nothing beats waking up early to do something you enjoy doing.
best of all, you get paid.

now it's bout 5am, gonna get ready for work.
2 more weeks.

Lunch at grandma's place

Recently seems like quite a bit of people are getting sick.
Even for myself.
I'm down with flu, running nose, sore throat, cough.
I believe it's becos of the haze and weather.
Plus not having enough rest and water, making it worst.

I'm now at my grandma's place. I realize I've not been at her place for ages!
She prepared lunch for me. Haven eaten home cook food for a long time.
I don't even remember when was the last time.

After lunch, was watching tv. She sat down with me quietly beside me.
She started telling me the usual stuff like.
"Remember to eat... Was lunch nice? Busy with work ar? "

I quietly listen, and "hmm"...
I realized my grandma has really aged.

Still remember the time when we were younger.

Seriously, it's one cool phone!

I can msn on the go, listen to mp3, imagine watching kangxi on train!! Hahaa

I call it the all- in -one phone. My old trusty k800i battery life can go up to 2 days, but iPhone batt is about 15hrs , of cos I'm constantly msning and checking email.

professional vs passional...

was on e train, thought of e things i see at work...
being in e education sector, i get to see things that i've never thought it would be...

in secondary school days, we always have a impression of teachers and blah...
but reality is still as bare and real as it is....

sometimes ppl are just being too 'professional'?

sometimes being too professional restrains us from coming up with new solutions, new methods, new approach...
there's nothing wrong with being professional, (infact being professional is being consistent, which is important) but if professional makes you feel like you've arrived, you're the best, you're on top of e rest.. that's where it starts to get scarry.
cos every step, every decision might be based on other's opinion, acceptance, rules, the 'safest-method' and 'past-approved-method'. leaving no room for new suggestions, new creative ideas...

some, who are really well-versed with the 'system' can infact use that to 'reflect' arrows.
on the meeting table, it's really interesting to see people shooting arrows at one another...

on the other hand, being passional about 'stuff' makes us enjoy doing what we are doing. makes us want to learn more, makes us want to change it for the better (instead of feeling it's a hassle).

just 2 cents worth... work place can be a battle ground isnt it?

- shouted at a class today! blood boils, cant really comprehend why students only listen when someone shouts. cant i just be nice mr charles? i'll be fine. peace peace! ha

- hear lotsa things, not angry, just a tad sadden that people do forget the very primary reason why they are doing what they are doing... was reminded...

- so who do you really consider as brothers? get e meaning right...

- im thankful that He remembers my prayers, a group of new friends, a new fellowship; something different...
